In the 20 days I have lived in Israel, I have covered a lot of ground in terms of paperwork, accommodation, Ulpan, and new connections. My citizenship documentation appears to be in check, except for a couple pending matters. In the social realm, I can say that I have added three women friends to my repertoire, and have a feeling that my networking reputation is already at work here in Israel, even though I intended to keep my energy to myself. Just to show you that we cannot run away from ourselves. Our good and bad inclinations follow us to the end of the world. This one in particular, is a good one, but still, I must keep it in check, like everything else!
I am happy to share a few highlights, one per post, in random order.
Sunset in Tel Aviv
In one of my afternoon strolls downtown, I found myself at the foot of Frishman Street. The weather was perfect and I kept on walking without paying much attention to my direction. When I least expected, I found myself on the top of the hill, overlooking the waterfront. The sun was blinding, and moving towards the horizon. It was quite a site! My feet quickly followed my body and in no time I found myself at the beautiful boardwalk. Leaning against a rail, I watched the sun go down, connecting Heaven and Earth and getting swallowed by the water.
