Today
was another quiet day. The weather made
me think of Vancouver. From my apartment,
I could hear the howling sound of the wind, and the sun hid behind clouds for
most of the day. It finally came out at
4:00 pm, at which time I decided to take a stroll in search of a special café
recommended by Shula. From the window, I
saw people dressed with sweaters, so I decided to wear a light jacket that
barely kept me warm. The ground was wet,
so I realized that the soil of Israel finally got some liquid food.
I enjoyed my walk very much, and experienced a sense of openness and calm. I took several photographs, which I am sharing with you for your enjoyment. I managed to find the famous café and treated myself to a little pastry. I sat outside and observed the social interaction atypical of Vancouver. The café is located in the middle of a residential street, like a neighbourhood social club.

I am trying to widen my network and have several prospects already. What I am missing a lot is yoga
practice. I haven’t
found a yoga studio close to home that is reasonably priced. Most studios are located in the center of
town, off the Dizengoff District, and judging from their prices they cater to
the more affluent crowd. I am still on
the look for my much needed yoga practise that keeps my joints oiled and my
life energy flowing.
This
is my last daily post, as the first two weeks of my arrival have been so
instrumental in my adaptation. I will
continue to post at least weekly, and share with you less mundane experiences
and more weekly highlights.
I love to see these posts. You're doing it! Be safe and have fun!

Dear Prima, I wish you were here. Remember we hoped to come here together? How are you and how is TS? Please send her my love and tell her that in Israel I think of my family a lot, with a different perspective and connection.
